The Glissando ImageShare is a complete, stand-alone solution for storing and sharing large whole slide image (WSI) scans. The ImageShare workstation links directly to one or more Glissando slide scanners, providing virtually immediate availability for WSI viewing both locally and remotely.

The ImageShare’s innovative direct link sharing software allows users to easily share WSI results via efficient browser-based viewing of folders and individual WSI results on the ImageShare, removing the time-consuming step of uploading large WSI images to a secondary server or cloud solution.

When combined with the Glissando medium- and low-capacity slide scanners, the Glissando ImageShare provides a perfect solution for quickly and easily implementing whole slide image scanning, storage, and remote sharing into your everyday workflows.

How the ImageShare Works

The Glissando ImageShare is directly connected to one or more Glissando scanners via a direct Ethernet link. Glissando WSI scans are stored immediately onto the ImageShare's large-capacity disk array. Active folders and/or individual scan images can be made available to external users by automatic web links generated by the ImageShare's software. The user can send these links to remote users via email, and the remote users simply follow the link in a web browser to begin viewing the connected images directly on the ImageShare's storage.

Because the remote users are viewing images directly on the ImageShare, no upload of large WSI scans to an external storage or cloud storage is needed, ensuring that scans are available as soon as scanning is complete using the efficient ImageShare storage and sharing architecture.
